Project Details
As the architect, we envisioned a building that seamlessly blends classic elegance with modern functionality. The design incorporates Neoclassical elements, evident in the symmetrical façade, pilasters, balustrades, and arched windows. These are balanced by a contemporary, sleek vertical element featuring a curved, metallic-paneled section, adding a dynamic contrast to the traditional forms.
The primary material palette consists of high-quality white render, providing a clean, crisp aesthetic, complemented by warm-toned stone or brick detailing around the windows and balconies, which adds depth and texture. The use of large glass panels maximizes natural light and creates a sense of spaciousness within the interior. Dark metal accents on the railings and window frames provide a sophisticated touch.
The project draws on several architectural theories. Neoclassicism is clearly expressed in the symmetrical façade and the use of classical orders. However, the addition of the contemporary, vertical structure reflects Modernist principles – emphasizing clean lines and functionality. Also, the building is designed to maximize its footprint and interior space within the site’s limitations, reflecting principles of efficient spatial planning. The integration of the vertical glass structure acts as a modern interpretation of a classical atrium, offering a visual connection between the floors while maximizing interior daylight. The overall design aims to be both visually arresting and practical, appealing to the modern desire for luxurious yet functional urban living.
